SO YOU THINK YOU CAN COOK?

We are the largest producers and packers of Fiddleheads Greens in North America.

We have appeared on TV and radio talk shows, and have been written up in daily newspapers and monthly magazines throughout most of the major North American cities.

Chefs for this culinary cook off have been chosen and are invited to participate based on what we believe to be an upscale restaurant with a diverse menu. We therefore welcome the top chef and your restaurant to participate in this culinary contest.

Imagine the amount of free publicity and extra business that your restaurant could receive from being featured by your local media on a local and national base. How much hype could we create around the winning chef and his restaurant?

What will the chef of the winning recipe win?

1) The chef will receive air fare and transfers for a 1 week stay at www.westgateresorts.com for two with resorts in places like Arizona, Florida, and South Carolina with a total of 20 great locations to chose from throughout the United States.

2) You will also receive a one weekend stay for you and your family at our corporate head quarters in Port Colborne, ON. The first official fiddlehead farm in North America. You will stay in a beautiful stone house, surrounded by ponds and a lot of wild life roaming around.                           

So what do you need to do?
Fill in the attached entry form and send it in to us. There are no fees for entering this culinary contest.

What are the criteria for this CULINARY COOK OFF?
You will need to prepare a dish of your own creation using pieces of frozen fiddleheads.     
                 
Your recipe will contain frozen fiddleheads that have been cut up, hashed up or made into a puree to be used as the main ingredient in making your winning recipe for quiche, pâté, soufflé, soup, h'or d'oeuvres, desert or any other dish that would be of your creation. Whole fiddleheads in a recipe can be used provided that they are used only as a garnish and not as the main ingredient.

All entries must be submitted by midnight March 30th, 2010. And keep in mind, that if your distributor does not carry frozen fiddleheads, get in touch with our purchasing dept and we will direct you to your nearest supplier.
